About Us

Ants Multimedia fully realised, is a 3-in-1 company getting to the future first. Pitchit is a perfect and complete intergration of Ants Multimedia's 3-in-1 company ambitions.

Ants On The Job provides a wide-ranging slate of highlighted, smart, advertiser funded, highly conceptualised, Afrocentric, reality-based and sharp fictional entertainment with inherent merchandising possibilities across multimedia-platforms. This company structure prides itself on creating unique, future-poised, popular work that boasts both intelligence and panache.

The Nest functions as a self-sustaining brand and events company. In a market where brand companies sell other brand companies, Ants Multimedia realises its need to become a brand. The Nest is Ants Multimedia's in-house brand designer, star making plant and hype factory. It launches, promotes, manages and leverages all Ants Multimedia's brands.

The Colony is an exclusive search engine for most of Ants Multimedia's talent and crewmembers. It functions as an agency and perpetual talent and skills refining institute for the company's 'human capital,' which finds itself in a constantly technologically changing environment. In an industry of limited budgets and constantly changing technology, expert talent and crew are crucial and the only real investment for a company with huge concepts. Through this company structure, Ants Multimedia aims to develop a keen sense of identifying and working with emerging talent.

Pitchit.co.za is Ants Multimedia’s first website service designed to empower African filmmakers and accord them the unique opportunity to pitch to producers, investors, managers, directors, agents, actors, distributors, film studios and broadcasters around the world - in their gowns and slippers. To date Ants Multimedia's greatest achievement is realising Pitchit and being awarded exclusive rights to turn Unyambose noZinitha, an epic Zulu love story, into a feature film. The company is equally proud of Self Elected Future Leaders, a social responsibility project that it recently launched on facebook to foster the change it aims to be in the world.

It is impossible to talk about Ants Multimedia without the mention of its Founding Member and Creative Activist: uZanenkosi. In the 14 years that this Producer/Writer/Director has been a part of the television industry he has managed to work with and for all the companies that are at the helm of production in South Africa: Endemol SA, Ochre Moving Pictures, Urban Brew Studios, TOM Pictures, Kagiso Television, Curious Pictures, Born Free Media and Penguin Films. His name is synonymous with the success of: Evita & Loyiso's Dinner With The President, Zola 7, Big Brother Africa (I & II), All You Need Is Love, A Place Called Home, Zam & Nkhensani Nkosi's Mojo, 91 Plein Street, and Soul Buddyz to name a few. In 2006, he was selected as one of six South Africans to be awarded funding to develop their feature film ideas into screenplays by the UK Film Council's development fund in partnership with the National Film Video and Video Foundation. In 2007 he was part of an industry delegate that presented a paper before the Communications Portfolio Committee in parliament concerning the state the industry is in. In 2008, seeking a creative solution to all the institutional problems facing the local film and television industry, uZanenkosi created Pitchit.
